When Do My Leagues Roll Over to the New Season?

Leagues roll over to the new season when the fantasy platform you use (Sleeper, ESPN, MFL, etc.) officially opens the new year on their end.

Typical timing

Most platforms roll over between August and September, ahead of the NFL regular season. Some platforms open the new season earlier for startup drafts.

What happens during rollover

  • Your league automatically appears under the new season in the app
  • Your previous season data is archived — you can still view it
  • Rosters are refreshed from the platform to reflect any offseason moves

If your league hasn’t rolled over yet

  • Check that the platform itself has opened the new season — if it hasn’t rolled over on their side, it won’t appear in the app yet
  • Try manually refreshing your league sync
  • If the platform has rolled over but your league still shows the old season, try removing your account and re-adding it
